Responsible for EMSA’s Surveillance Unit, which includes the management of a wide range of services:
- Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS):
- Earth Observations services, including CleanSeaNet and Copernicus Maritime Surveillance.
- Satellite Communications
- Satellite AIS
EMSA’s surveillance services are delivered to wide range of user communities: maritime safety, marine pollution monitoring, fisheries control, maritime security, law enforcement, border control, customs and pollution monitoring.
20 years of experience in areas linked with surveillance, space technologies, maritime digital services and innovation. Expert in the management of EU procurement procedures and large value contracts.
Pedro holds a Master’s of Science in Environmental Engineering from the New University of Lisbon and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Lisbon MBA (joint-venture between Católica-Lisbon and Nova SBE, in collaboration with MIT Sloan School of Management).
