Mark Deverill
Director of Data Operations, Spire Maritime.
He has over 25 years of experience working with Internet & data services in the maritime sector. He is a subject matter expert in ship tracking, maritime trade, research, and analysis. He built one of the first commercial websites for ship tracking in 1997.
After 20 years at Lloyds List Intelligence, and spells at Vesseltracker and Clarksons Platou, Mark joined Spire Global in 2019. Spire is a satellite company focusing on earth observation services with its European headquarters in Luxembourg.
Mark graduated with a degree in Computer Science last century, started his career as a programmer, and went on to lead teams focusing on systems and database administration, web development, API services, customer support, and testing.
