Martha Mghendi-Fisher

Her wide range of interests make her a thought leader in financial technology and payments, a champion for diversity and inclusion, and an advocate for children's safety.

Martha is a highly sought-after inspiring speaker who has spoken at several major fintech events. Her work experience spans over the years include merchant acquiring, e-commerce, card-present, processing payment and an acquiring banker.  Prior to joining Payvision as Global Card Scheme and Operations Director, she worked at TYSY and other FinTechs before expanding her portfolio to include philanthropy and social entrepreneurship.

She has received numerous awards, including being named to Innovative Finance's Women in Fintech Power list in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. She was also included in Lattice '80s 2019 list of the 100 Powerful Women in Fintech.

Her efforts are visible through the organisations she founded, which include the European Women Payments Network (EWPN); African Women in Fintech & Payments (AWFP); Dali Spaces; African Women Speakers and InvestFem.

 

Beyond Innocence Foundation (BIF), a nonprofit organisation she started in Taita, Kenya, is her enthusiasm for philanthropy. It provides a safe place for sexually abused children ages 0-16.

She serves on multiple boards as a trustee, advisor, and non-executive director, including Sote Hub; CodeOp; Women Economic Imperative (WEI); PaceUp Invest; Bleu;, to name a few.
