Dr. Junichiro Kawaguch
Dr. Junichiro Kawaguchi received a Ph.D degree from the University of Tokyo in 1983 and has been engaged in aerospace engineering, especially in interplanetary exploration. He was the founder and the project leader of the Hayabusa mission, the world's first sample and return mission from an asteroid. It successfully returned the sample to Earth in 2010.
He started Patchedconics, LLC in 2016 as a startup supported by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
