Robert Bielecki

With 26 years in IT services Robert Bielecki has gained a strong experience in PKI. He was in charge of the EU Open Source Java library for the electronic signature and worked on the cross-border signature validation in the eIDAS context. This experience allowed him to acquire an extensive knowledge of the related standards and to contribute during ETSI workshops. He is actively involved in numerous conferences, giving him a good vision of the digital trust across the EU. His current professional responsibilities, in Luxtrust, lead him to work on the transformation of the centralized trust model used in the current PKI implementation to a more open, democratic model, based on the technology that carries the bitcoin: the blockchain. He is the author of several articles dedicated to this transformation.
