Purva Khera

Economist, IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department

Purva Khera is an economist in the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department. She has worked on the IMF Financial Sector Assessment of China, Brazil and Italy. Her research interests and publications have mainly focused on macro-financial linkages, financial inclusion, fintech, labor markets, informality, gender economics, and DSGE models. Purva has been actively engaged in assessing the macroeconomic impact of digitization in the financial services industry, including its role in financial inclusion. She holds a Ph.D. and MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a B.A. in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.
