Coordinating Europe’s largest innovation network for satellite applications, Andreas is experienced in international project & event management. As a Senior Project Manager his professional expertise and passions lie in innovation scouting and fostering the development of space as a driver of business growth and entrepreneurship.
Since 2009 he has been managing the European Satellite Navigation Competition – Europe’s largest innovation network in satellite navigation – aiming to spur the development of marketdriven applications based on satellite navigation technologies and Europe’s space programme Galileo (www.esnc.eu). Andreas also brings an enthusiastic spirit for technology transfer as well as game-changing IoT and NewSpace approaches. As of this year, he is coordinating the recently established Space Exploration Masters competition as main pillar to implement the goals of the ESA Space Exploration Strategy (www.space-exploration-masters.com).
In addition to extensive domain knowledge and in-depth market expertise in the space industry, he has high level experience in European projects and international initiatives. Andreas’ large and healthy network includes relevant stakeholders from the realms of industry, politics, research & academia, and especially startups. He also gained considerable expertise in the fields of conceptual web design and cloud based data mining solutions as well as event management. Prior to his current role, Andreas was working in Business Development & Regional Management in the high-tech area of Greater Munich, where he developed his market assessment skills with particular focus on the aerospace sector.
