Holger Klindt

Executive Advisor, German Society for Maritime Technology

With a dual background in physics and engineering sciences Mr. Klindt has over 30 years’ of experience in the maritime industry and various research institutions - including such as the Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar Research AWI, British Antarctic Survey BAS, GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research, German Aerospace Centre DLR, ATLAS Elektronik, CASSIDIAN/AIRBUS and SIGNALIS.
For more than 15 years Mr. Klindt held the position as vice president of maritime safety and security systems for ATLAS Elektronik and its subsidiaries, followed by the position as vice president of research, technology and innovation for the ATLAS Elektronik Group. With his departure from his industry position in 2018 he today acts as an executive advisor to various industrial and research firms and institution.
Besides others he acts as an advisor to the scientific bodies of the German Ministry of Economy, was a member of the board of the German Hydrographic Society (DHyG) for over 15 years’, served as its chairman for 15 years and became acting president of the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS). Mr. Klindt is an advisor to the German Society of Marine Technology (GMT) and the German Institute of Navigation (DGON) and chairs the German National Industrial Advisory Group on Maritime Security acting under the National Masterplan for Maritime Technology (NMMT).
