Workshop by Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity: A competence center for a more resilient ecosystem
Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity Workshop - June 30th at 3:00 pm
As the economy is accelerating its digitization, the need for securing information systems grows exponentially. This requires a mature market, with a variety and volume of offer that allows to match the diversity of needs.
A purely traditional approach, based on the deployment of an Information Security Management System is going to require a significant amount of resources, both human, technical and financial, which lots of organisations and in particular SMB's, don't have.
Luxembourg House of Cyber, the Agency of the Ministry of Economy in charge of Cybersecurity for the Commune and the overall economy, innovated 5 years ago through the creation of one of the first Cybersecurity Competence Centers.
The purpose of this workshop is to introduce this new approach, centered on capacity and competence, and aimed at supporting the maturation of the Cybersecurity market in the country, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of the whole ecosystem facing Cyberthreats. Several initiatives are ongoing, which should allow an increase in the offer of affordable and accessible security services intended at SMB's. Their implementation will imply the development of the cybersecurity industrial base.
Speakers:
- Bertrand Lathoud, Head of the National Cybersecurity Competence Center (NC3) of Luxembourg
