Founded in 2006, LuxConnect is a private limited company owned by the Luxembourg State. Acting as a facilitator and incubator in the ICT industry, LuxConnect has also been instrumental in the creation of LU-CIX, the Luxembourg Commercial Internet Exchange.
LuxConnect is a multi-tenant and multi-Tier Data Center provider and Dark Fiber network operator based in Luxembourg.
Within its four Data Centers, LuxConnect offers different Tier levels (from Tier II to Tier IV) on a total net IT surface of 14.700 m². The Data Centers are exclusively powered by green energy. LuxConnect is offering its colocation services directly to end-customers, and providing, with the support of Added Value Partners, high-end ICT solutions.
LuxConnect’s optical fiber backbone encompasses over 1.700 km of fiber throughout Luxembourg. The backbone connects all commercial Data Centers in Luxembourg redundantly and gives telecom operators a choice of 12 country outbreaks to interconnect to and from Luxembourg.
As LuxConnect is carrier neutral, about 40 carriers are collocated within their infrastructure. Due to its central position in Western Europe, LuxConnect tenants enjoy very low latency connections to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris and London. Hence, data stored within LuxConnect Data Centers can be delivered fast to the bulk of all the major European consumer markets.
Furthermore, LuxConnect hosts the first national supercomputer Meluxina, operated by LuxProvide, a 100% LuxConnect subsidiary, in its green Data Center DC2 in Bissen.
