Nima has started his career as a project manager of the national payment systems of the country within an affiliate of the Central Bank of Iran, National Informatics Co. Central Bank of Iran implemented RTGS and ACH payment systems in 2006 and 2008 respectively. Then he continued his education in IT management and got his Ph.D. in Zurich, Switzerland. Then he joined Monetary and Banking Research Institute of the Central Bank of Iran as a faculty member and established e-Banking department there. He also was among the founders of the biggest national event on electronic banking and payment systems annually held by MBRI since 2011 (www.ebps.ir).
Beside his academic career, he is always playing an active role in the payment industry. He consulted many banks, PSP’s and Fintech startups and he has recently been promoted to become the CEO of a mobile virtual network operator focused on banking and payment services.
