Jean Devambez, Head of Digital and Acceleration, BNP Paribas Securities Services, will take part as guest speaker in the FinTech Summit. He will make a joint presentation with Sira Ferradans, Chief Research Scientist for Fortia Financial Solutions, in the half-day dedicated to the topic “How banking is shaping business with technology & strategic partnerships ? ” on May 15th. The french bank has recently invested in the french FinTech to improve its post-trading treatment management thanks to intelligent algorithms. Jean Devambez is Global Head of Digital and Acceleration. He runs BNP Paribas Securities Services inhouse accelerator: The Catalyst, in charge of defining and rolling out the company strategy for new digital  businesses. As such, he leads several initiatives on Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and data for Fund Distribution, Regtech, Asset Servicing and Liquidity solutions. Jean is also in charge of the Bank start up partnership program.

Jean joined BNP Paribas Securities Services in 2007 and was successively  Head of AFS (Asset and Fund Services Business line) for France and Global Head of Poduct and Solutions, overseing the development of our Global Custody and Asset Servicing Solutions for Asset Owners and Asset Managers.

Jean started his career with PWC as an auditor in the financial industry. He then, joined Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations group as head of Back Office for Ixis Capital Market. In 2000 he moved to custody activities and was appointed as CEO of Ixis Administration de fonds (Asset Servicing subsidiary of the group) in 2005.

 

Sira Ferradans is responsible for directing the R&D group at Fortia, this includes hiring new research scientists, defining the main lines of research and proposing technical solutions for their products. They work mostly with Deep Learning, NLP and time series prediction/anomalie detection.
