Blockchain and the new digital economy, with Stephan Tual Written by Alexandre Keilmann on April 26th, 2018

On May 16th, the organizers of ICT Spring will welcome Stephan Tual, former COO of Ethereum and Co-founder of Atlas-Neue, a startup which aims at creating, funding and supporting exciting ventures in the blockchain space. During the session on circular economy and on how it can improve the quality of life, he will focus on blockchain and the new digital economy.

On the topic of building an interconnected and smarter society, through the development of smart cities, Stephan Tual will notably address the different possibilities offered by blockchain. As a matter of fact, this technology and its decentralized system will allow the democratization of smart contracts (insurance policies, real estate and any other administrative document) and account for more transparency and traceability. These elements are also crucial in the develop of the new digital economy, based on data and automation.

Stephan Tual is the former CCO of the Ethereum project which he joined in 2014. After 20 years in the IT industry, holding several CxO positions, he’s now dedicated to making blockchain technology mainstream. His focus is on smart contracts/smart property and the development of decentralized applications on top of a blockchain based, web3 infrastructure.
