17 start-ups and 3 minutes 33 seconds to convince Written by on April 18th, 2016

For the second consecutive year, national and international ICT start-ups have been invited by Docler Holding and Luxinnovation to participate in the contest “Pitch Your Start-Up”. The jury has decided that 17 start-ups will compete during ICT Spring Europe 2016 for the prize of €50,000 offered by Docler Holding.

“Pitch Your Start-Up” is a contest for start-ups that are active in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), a vast sector that attracts entrepreneurs with its wide variety of potential development paths and applications. The interest in the field as well as in the “Pitch Your Start-Up” initiative was confirmed by the high number of applications posted online. 86 start-ups thus demonstrated their interest in participating.

The attractiveness of the contest goes well beyond Luxembourg’s borders. While 30 start-up projects originate from the Grand Duchy, the other 56 are from the Greater Region (11 from France, 6 from Belgium and 1 from Germany) as well as from more distant locations (Korea, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Hungary, Israel, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, etc.).

The jury selected 17 of them who will have the opportunity to rise to the next challenge, which is to convince, in 3 minutes and 33 seconds, not only the jury but also the audience and the private investors present at the event.

Who will follow in the footsteps of Wondermags, the happy winner of the 2015 edition? The winner, who will be awarded €50,000 by Docler Holding, will be announced at the gala dinner of ICT Spring Europe 2016.
